The Takashina Lab at the University of Tokyo is led by Associate Professor Nao Takashina and conducts research in theoretical ecology, conservation biology, and fisheries management from an interdisciplinary perspective. Currently, we are trying to understand effective ways to establish protected areas and sustainable management of fishery resources. We also conduct theoretical ecology studies, such as studies the ecological and evolutionary mechanisms involved in the formation and maintenance of biodiversity, as well as population dynamics. If you are interested in joining the lab as a postdoc, funded Ph.D. student, or master's student, see here.
