Nao Takashina - Associate Professor 

Nao Takashina is an Associate Professor at the University of Tokyo whose research focuses on theoretical ecology, conservation biology, and fisheries management. His current projects include (i) evaluating the effective implementation of protected areas in marine and terrestrial ecosystems, (ii) investigating socio-ecological systems in ecosystem management and conservation, and (iii) developing mathematical models of ecosystems to understand macroecological patterns across spatial scales. He has also served as an Associate Editor for Conservation Biology since 2025.
